Customers at a Texas steakhouse have been banned from the restaurant after they left a racist message in lieu of a tip for their waiter.

Khalil Cavil, a waiter at a Saltgrass Steak House in Odessa, shared a photo of a receipt from one of his customers this past weekend. Instead of tipping Cavil, the customer wrote "We don't tip terrorist" at the top of the receipt and circled Khalil's name.

"I share this because I want people to understand that this is racism, and this hatred still exists," Cavil wrote on Facebook.

Saltgrass is standing behind its employee and has since banned the customer. "Racism of any form is unacceptable," said Terry Turney, the company's COO.
