When: Tue., Aug. 22, 6:30-8 p.m. 2017
Join author, playwright and San Antonio treasure, Sherry Kafka Wagner, for a cocktail in the Library and an engaging talk about the stories and novels of Eudora Welty. Welty lived her entire life (1909-2001) in Jackson, Mississippi, writing short stories that became American classics and winning the Pulitzer for her last novel, The Optimist’s Daughter. Have an early dinner at Supper, then join Sherry in the Library for a cocktail, savory bites, and an appreciation of Eudora Welty. We’ve reserved a table in Sternewirth for bibliophiles who’d like to continue the conversation over drinks. The book event is free for hotel guests. For others, a mere $15 entitles you to a cocktail and snacks in the Library and entry to Sherry’s book event. Seating is extremely limited, so please rsvp at firstname.lastname@example.org.
