Regent Empress XIX SoFonda St. John is among the special guests who’ll be holding court at the ninth–annual Disco Ball, a benefit for local nonprofit organization BEAT AIDS (Black Effort Against the Threat of AIDS). Even if you don’t opt for the catered dinner portion of the evening (which starts at 6 p.m. and features live and silent auctions), your $10 general admission ticket (which includes a dazzling drag show, disco dancing, and a retro costume contest) still helps BEAT AIDS with its mission to provide HIV/AIDS prevention, education, and services to those at greatest need and highest risk. $10 (general admission; entrance at 9 pm); $35 (includes dinner; entrance at 6 pm; VIP seats also available for $75); 6pm-2am; The Saint (formerly Woody’s), 800 Lexington.
