Millie on the mend
A San Antonio dog that was abandoned in a dumpster is on the mend, but still needs some help before she's completely recovered.

Millie was found in a dumpster on the West Side last week, buried under old pizza boxes and other garbage. But her luck has turned for the better.

The dog is now in the care of Lucky Lab Rescue, a local nonprofit animal rescue group. But Millie still needs some help — she needs treatment for heart worms, and further evaluation for her "wobbly" gait, according to the group.

Lucky Lab Rescue has started a YouCaring campaign to help the pup. Contributors have already chipped in over $900 toward the $2,000 fundraising goal, which help defray Millie's medical costs. The group has also set up a Facebook page for her.
