Update: According to the Associated Press, John Kasich will end his campaign, clearing the way for Donald Trump to take the seat as the Republican candidate in the Presidential election.

Kasich canceled a press conference in Virginia today and plans to make a statement from Columbus. This news comes just one day after Ted Cruz ended his campaign.

Ted Cruz, or Lucifer incarnate as some call him, has dropped out of the Republican presidential primary.

Cruz told The Washington Post that after his loss in Indiana, the path to the White House is foreclosed (damn housing bubble).

“I said I would continue on as long as there is a viable path to victory. Tonight, I’m sorry to say, it appears that path has been foreclosed,” Cruz told a small group of supporters here Tuesday night. “Together we left it all on the field in Indiana. We gave it everything we got, but the voters chose another path.”

Donald Trump crushed Cruz in Indiana.

So, here we are.

Trump is the likely Republican nominee for the President of United States of America.

Maybe now, Cruz — a Senator — can start doing the job voters elected him to do. Better yet, Texas voters remember he didn't do anything except lose to Trump and vote him out of office.

As for the Republicans, good luck with Trump because the mud-flinging and dirt on that guy is going to be like a devastating landslide — most likely, in Democrat Hillary Clinton's favor.
