Pizza. San Antonians love it and they'll soon be able to enjoy it at Yanaguana Garden with the opening of Dough Pizzeria Napoletana's third location at 518 S. Alamo St.
First announced in 2016, the shop will be housed inside the previous home of the O.K. Bar. According to Giant Noise, the public relations firm for the restaurant, Dough is currently hiring and trying to fully staff the restaurant before opening (though no date has been set). Dough at Hemisfair will feature a similar menu of certified Neopolitan-style pizza by Associazione Pizzaiuoli Napoletani (Neapolitan Pizzaioli Association). Think charred crusts, blistered pies and quality ingredients.
The original Dough opened in 2007 and gained quick popularity for their pies and dreamy burrata, which garnered the attention of Flavortown mayor Guy Fieri. A second Dough opened in Dallas in 2012.
Per the release, the restaurant will feature three dining areas "including a pizza bar/dining room, the atrium dining room with sliding doors that will offer a semi-private dining area, and an outdoor patio overlooking the park."
