“Downsized” — Fatt Mattress

Dave Schlesinger’s basic blues-scale guitar intro — not to mention the fuckin’ song title — should be a dead giveaway. So, when LA transplant Sean Etheridge howls, “My boss called me in one day, wasn’t for a raise,” you probably see where this one’s headed. But before you feel too sorry for shit-canned Sean, currently relocating his “ass to the back of the line,” he introduces his friend Jimmy Dallas, who’s getting “phased out” by his own wife. Ouch. Sean’s yet another victim of Depression redux, but it sounds like Jimmy’s the one who could use a bigger stimulus package.
