When: March 21-22 2015

Fit for a Princess is a free self-esteem empowerment program, sponsored by the Cherice Cochrane Foundation and hosted by the Carver Branch Library and Continental Cafe and Event Center for little girls in grades 1st-3rd. Sessions include: Health & Fitness, Arts & Crafts and Character Building--culminating in a Fashion Show and Coronation. Princess sashes and tiaras are given to all the little Princesses. The program uniquely brings together inner and outer beauty lessons, building good character with true beauty and practical skills. Instructions are offered in the following: personal hygiene and skin care, fitness and health, manners and etiquette, poise and princess crafts. In addition, an "Amazing Princess" will be selected based on a portfolio showing "her acts of kindness." What makes a little girl "Fit for a Princess?" Her inner and outer beauty, self-image, confidence, character and compassion for others. This is a free event, however, pre-registration is required for the workshop. Participants are limited to the first 50 girls. For an application, email info@thecochranefoundation.org. The coronation is only for workshop participants.
