From Selma to Ferguson: What Have We Learned?

Next month marks the 50th anniversary of the civil rights demonstrations for voting rights that took place in Selma, Alabama. Texas A&M University-San Antonio assistant professor William S. Bush moderates this symposium exploring “the lessons of Selma for our own times, as the nation once again is gripped by struggles over voting rights and the troubling deaths of African American citizens at the hands of white police officers.”
