It’s been a little over six months since stand-up comedian Gabriel Iglesias sold out the AT&T Center with his Unity Through Laughter Tour, and a little over five months since The Fluffy Movie received a limited theatrical release and ended up pulling in $2.8 million (making it the 10th highest-grossing comedy concert movie ever, according to Box Office Mojo). If that wasn’t enough, Iglesias, 38, also released Season 3 of his Comedy Central show Gabriel Iglesias: Stand-Up Revolution on DVD, voiced a hefty mariachi in the Día de los Muertos-inspired animated film The Book of Life, has a recurring role on the ABC sitcom Cristela, and is filming the stripper sequel Magic Mike XXL, which hits theaters this summer. Iglesias—who lost 105 pounds in an effort to get his Type 2 diabetes in check—had to set the record straight when an online hoax went viral in November that led people to believe the comedian had died. Who has time to take that kind of break when you have a schedule as demanding as his?
