Here's the bigger picture of what's happening across Bexar County, as reported by the Bexar Appraisal District:
- The value of residential properties has risen 8.8 percent across the board
- Commercial property values have climbed between 11 percent and 12 percent on average
- Multifamily properties have exploded in value, up 22 percent on average.
That means higher property values and higher taxes in those communities because home sales on your street affect how much the appraisal district says your house is worth.
