Homeschool Day at the Science Mill: Nanotechnology

When: Thu., Jan. 9, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. 2020

This month the Science Mill’s monthly Homeschool Day focuses on careers in Nanotechnology. In hands-on activities, students can examine images taken at four scales - macro, micro, nano and atomic - visit the Nanospace Theme Park online and calculate the size of their hands in nanometers versus centimeters. Age-based Learning Labs include comparing different “nano” views, converting body measurements into nano-scale and imagining life as the Incredible Shrinking Kid. Plus, students can explore the museum’s 50 plus unique exhibits and see “Incredible Predators 3D”. Homeschool activities will run 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and the museum will be open 10 a.m.-4 .pm.
