Jared Padalecki, who stars in Supernatural, a long-running cult horror/fantasy show on The CW, has reemerged on Twitter today after posting a pair of distressing tweets on Friday asking his fans for support.

The San Antonio native cancelled of a scheduled appearance at a fan convention in Rome last week, indicating he had a "desperate and urgent" need to spend time with his family. The actor, who announced his struggles with depression in March, needed to "tap out" from his grueling schedule, according to his co-star Jensen Ackles.

Supernatural fan overwhelmingly responded on social media with a show of love and support, and Padalecki took to Twitter to thank them.

"Always Keep Fighting" refers to Padalecki's T-shirt campaign to raise funds for To Write Love on Her Arms, a nonprofit that provides support for people struggling with depression, addictions and suicidal and self-harm tendencies.
