Jeremy Piven Stopping in San Antonio As Part of Redemption Tour Following Sexual Misconduct Allegations

Taking a note from the Louis C.K. playbook, actor Jeremy Piven has launched his own “redemption tour” of sorts. In the face of credible allegations of sexual misconduct from four women (which Piven has categorically denied), CBS reneged on an episode order of his crime procedural Wisdom of the Crowd in late 2017, leaving the longtime TV star without a vehicle. Then, in January of last year, investigative reporting by Buzzfeed brought the number of accusers up to eight. Similarly accused, Louis C.K. at least expressed some remorse and took a brief break from the limelight before popping back up at the Comedy Cellar unannounced in a move widely considered misguided at best.

Yet, despite lacking the longstanding stage career of C.K., Piven has apparently decided that touring his own post-#MeToo standup show is a good next move. While purportedly capable onstage, his material is about what you’d expect from the Entourage star, which certainly doesn’t help to dispel the allegations that he may be a serial abuser.
