The Sam Houston Jazz Series has rebranded as the Alamo City Jazz Series. As such, they’re kicking things off with a heavy-hitting Valentine's Day show at a new location – the Charline McCombs Empire Theatre.

Headlining the event is guitarist/singer Jonathan Butler, who gained a huge following in the ’80s and ’90s with his soulful blend of R&B, jazz-fusion and worship songs.

The show also features saxophonist BillyRay Sheppard, a local San Antonian who has been performing since the ’80s and whose musical influence include blues, R&B, reggae, Latin, Tejano, and country.

Tickets ($59.50-$65) are available at the Majestic Theatre box office, online at ticketmaster.com, or charge by phone at (800) 745-3000.
