Kids' Dia de los Muertos Sugar Skull Workshop 2017

When: Sat., Oct. 28, 10-11:30 a.m.

Chef Cariño Cortez, third generation Cortez Family member, teaches children ages 5 and up the festive traditions of Dia de Los Muertos through storytelling, food, and a hands-on activity. Cariño will teach the kids to decorate sugar skulls as a cultural story book is read. At the end of the workshop, children will take home their sugary masterpieces along with some pan de muerto. Parents can enjoy a late breakfast or lunch at Pico de Gallo while children take part in the activities. Space is limited, so registration is suggested.
