Land Art Generator Initiative Talk

When: Tue., July 19, 7:30 p.m. 2016

Situated along the Medina River on the city’s far South Side, the Land Heritage Institute (LHI) is a “living land museum” preserving 1,200 acres for archaeological, cultural, environmental, historical and recreational learning experiences. As part of its ever enlightening programming, the LHI welcomes Robert Ferry for an offsite presentation on the Land Art Generator Initiative (LAGI), a nonprofit he co-founded with Elizabeth Monoian. Designed to “educate and inspire people about the potential for renewable energy generation,” the Pittsburgh-based organization’s signature initiative takes shape in a biennial international design competition that tasks interdisciplinary teams (combining artists, architects, scientists and engineers) with creating large-scale, site-specific public art works that enhance the environment and increase livability.
