Lennox Lecture: The Power of Love: Stories of Animals and Humans in the Roman Empire by Craig Williams, PhD

In partnership with Trinity University, the 2017 Lennox Lecture Series will focus on Love, Art and Power in the Roman Empire. Dr. Craig Williams, Professor of Classics at the University of Illinois, specializes in gender and sexuality in Latin literature and friendships in ancient Rome. He is the author of Roman Homosexuality: Ideologies of Masculinity in Classical Antiquity (1999), widely recognized as a pathbreaking study of ancient homosexuality. This lecture will take place at Trinity University in the Fiesta Room.
