If you need an extra jolt of holiday spirit this year, look no further! Lightwire tells a Christmas story unlike any other by bringing characters to life on stage with vivid puppetry effects and dancing performers clad in neon lights.

In A Very Electric Christmas, young bird Max is blown off of his migratory course and somehow ends up at the North Pole. Lost amongst the snowdrifts, Max embarks on a journey to be reunited with his family, meeting toy soldiers, dancing poinsettias, caroling worms and more along the way, accompanied by a soundtrack ranging from Tchaikovsky to Nat King Cole. The show’s uplifting story is sure to bring cheer to children and adults alike.

$26.50-$90, Thu Dec. 27, 7pm, Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, 100 Auditorium Circle, (210) 223-8624, tobincenter.org.
