Metro Health Looking for Man Potentially Exposed to Rabies

  • Wikimedia

Were you or someone you know at the CVS Pharmacy at 4730 Fredericksburg Road around 9:20 p.m. on March 28?

Did you grab a bleeding bat inside a paper bag brought in by another man with you barehands and put it in a cardboard box?

If so, call San Antonio Metropolitan Health at (210) 207-2095 because you might have rabies.

Metro Health says whoever picked up the bat left the pharmacy without a trace. The bat has since tested positive for rabies and whoever it was that was exposed needs to start rabies prophylaxis immediately.

Scary stuff. Let's hope whoever is potentially infected gets word soon.
