More National Nods for Bakery Lorraine

Bakery Lorraine (511 E Grayson) just keeps making SA more proud (and delicious) each day. The Government Hill bakery was recognized by Conde Nast Traveler as one of 13 Destination Bakeries, right up there with Dominique Ansel Bakery in NYC (AKA the original cronut maker). Bakery Lorraine, owned by chefs Anne Ng, Jeremy Mandrell and entrepreneur Charlie Biedenharn, was also named one of best new bakeries in the US by CNN's Eatocracy blog and Food & Wine in 2013, and Fodor's tapped it as one of the Top 10 Bakeries in the US in early 2014.

And locals are definitely savvy to the delicious goods voting Bakery Lorraine as Best Desserts and Best Bakery in our Best of SA reader's poll in 2014.

Due to its overwhelming popularity, the shop will relocate to the Pearl Brewery Complex later this year.
