My Princess & Me 2016 promises to be a magical event. Located at The Tobin Center for the Performing Arts, for just a $35 donation, daughters receive a professional hairstyle from top hairstylists in San Antonio, make-up application, a keepsake photo with Mom, and party in royal style – all while helping support the children of St. Peter – St. Joseph Children’s Home. “This is a fun way to strengthen the mother-daughter bond while teaching our daughters empathy and compassion for all members of the community we live in.” said Terry Folawn, founder and committee chair of My Princess & Me. “The My Princess & Me Royalty Court can grant every woman’s secret wish to “wear the crown,” and do it for a good cause.” My Princess & Me is a story that began in child abuse but in true “Cinderella” fashion transformed into a message of imagination, inspiration, and transformation. Founded by the family members of a child abuse survivor, My Princess & Me is a very special event that has inspired hundreds of little girls from all walks of life to realize their natural imagination can transform into reality in an afternoon of royal entertainment. Since 2004, More than $100K of proceeds from My Princess & Me has benefitted the victims of child abuse and neglect at St. Peter - St. Joseph Children's Home, Where Hope Lives - Where Healing Begins. St. PJ’s is both a home to children who have suffered as victims abuse, neglect, poverty and broken homes and the home serves as a community counseling and service center for families in crisis.
