When: Fri., March 3, 6:30 p.m.-12 a.m. 2017
You might have noticed, over the past two years, that the Witte Museum hasn’t been itself. That’s because, through the dust and detritus that naturally accompany any large construction undertaking, the Witte has been busy becoming its new self. And that new, redesigned, fully 21st-century self, brought to you by the architectural and design minds of Lake|Flato and Gallagher & Associates, is finally ready to be unveiled. You’re invited to join the Witte as it celebrates its extensive upgrades — in look, layout and offerings — on Friday for a black-tie dinner and/or a soiree billed as “Disco with the Dinosaurs,” which draws creative inspiration from the museum’s new state-of-the-art Naylor Family Dinosaur Gallery & Dinosaur Lab. While corporate tables aplenty have been sold for the dinner, there are still individual tickets available for those who wish to be part of the spectacle and help fund the museum at the same time. Tickets for the dinner include admission to the “Disco with the Dinosaurs” finale, but tickets for the finale only are also available.
