To think that just a few months ago, after Uber and Lyft left San Antonio, the city was completely devoid of transportation network companies. Now there are four of them here.

Bid My Ride is the newest TNC to operate in San Antonio, joining Uber, Lyft and GetMe. The newest addition is based in San Antonio, and has yet to expand to other cities.

Bid My Ride drivers submit bids to clients based on information about their trip, including the starting point and destination, the time of their journey, what type of vehicle they need, and so on. Every driver in the city gets a chance to bid, and the lowest bid wins.

Calls and emails to the company were not immediately returned, so it's unclear how many drivers are in the Bid My Ride network so far.

The free Bid My Ride app is currently available for Android. A version for Apple operating systems is forthcoming.
