The honky-tonk and outlaw country sounds seem to be on the rise. Just take a look at D.T. Buffkin and Garrett T. Capps as of late. The two are each gaining more traction in the scene and have even gotten nods from national publications.

Headed to the Aztec Theatre on Saturday, June 1 is outlaw country singer Jamey Johnson, an Alabama-born artist. He's been making waves in the Nashville scene since 2005 when he signed to BNA Records, a subsidiary of Sony Music Entertainment.

With 11 Grammy nominations and an album that went platinum – 2008’s Lonesome Song – Johnson’s vintage sound is one any fan of country music is not going to want to pass up.

Tickets go on sale Friday, January 25 at 10 a.m. Presale will be Wednesday, January 23 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. (Password – CELEBRATE). For more information, visit
