Pencil this into your calendars, gourmands. Outstanding in the Field, a "roving culinary adventure" that aims to reintroduce diners with the farms their food comes from is heading to Floresville on Friday, October 17 at 2 p.m. Peeler Farms (you can read more about the farm in last week's cover story here) will serve as the host farm, while Cured's Steve McHugh will lead the culinary charge.
The $215 event includes a tour and dinner at the farm. This will be Outstanding in the Field's first visit to San Antonio. The program began in the late '90s in California as a way to highlight organic growers and producers.
