Artist Nik Soupé added Patty Mills to the mural, which includes the likes of legends David Robinson, George Gervin, Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili.
Mills, who is returning to the Spurs for his seventh season, is nearby DeMar DeRozan, who was added to the mural last month despite not having made his debut as a Spur yet. During the Spurs Media Day on Monday, DeRozan said he thought the mural was fake.
“To see that, it really gave me one of those feelings, where it was like, 'They love me like this already?’” DeRozan said. “It gives you that extra hunger to want to go out there and do something for the fans and make them feel better than I felt in that moment.”
The restaurant's exterior also includes current Spurs players. LaMarcus Aldridge, Dejounte Murray and even head coach Gregg Popovich are also honored in the mural.
