Brunch, often a caloric bacchanal filled with fluffy pancakes, frittatas, waffles and over-the-top fries, isn't always the most health-conscious meal.

Pharm Table, known for its dairy, wheat, and refined sugar-free fare is adding another option with their new Saturday and Sunday brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

According to chef Elizabeth Johnson, the brunch menu will evolve and expand. A new lunch menu is in the works for fall with a September 22 launch, and along with more brunch items.

For the the menu includes Pharm Table's Ayurvedic meal starter; sweet potato waffles with Asian pear chutney, rainbow carrot slaw and organic maple syrup; breakfast pizza with quinoa crust, sprouted black bean puree, summer squash, arugula, house salsa, avocado with vegan and egg add-on options; Peruvian ceviche with flash-marinated salmon, leche de tigre and sweet potato puree; an avocado coconut and collard bowl with coconut oil-seared collards, avocado, hemp, pepitas, blueberries, maple syrup and toasted coconut; and a pitta smoothie bowl of avocado, spirulina, coconut smoothie with pineapple, pomegranate seeds, chia, hemp, coconut flakes and pickled ginger; a raspberry lime "cheesecake" of cashew cream, coconut cream, lime juice, raspberries and a date almond crust; and cold-pressed sun-filtered juices.

Prices vary from $6 to $15. A $10 corkage fee applies per bottle of wine; flat fee for beer.
