How badly do you want passes to Fun Fun Fun Fest? Would you mosh in a dumpster, douse your face in queso, or get an FFF neck tattoo? Such are the tasks the FFF Scavenger Hunt has been known to include, with certain targets benefiting local food banks. And early registration (at funfunfunfest.com/scavenger-hunt) scores your team bonus points (check-in and registration from 4-4:45 p.m.; hunt begins at 5 p.m. at Boneshakers, 306 Austin). “Disco Howl,” the hunt’s after party, will be at Hi-Tones. Disco Howl’s Mrs. Wasteland is nothing but a split release by Mrs. Howl and Disco Wasteland, in one of the most unexpected and intriguing local collaborations we can think of. Four tracks each, with Laurel playing guitar for DW, and Jeremy Rhodes playing keys for Howl. It should be a riot. $3; (free for hunt participants), 10pm, Hi-Tones, 621 E Dewey, funfunfunfest.com/scavenger-hunt. Check out our full online calendar of upcoming events here: calendar.sacurrent.com.
