Since its inception in 2005, the Los Angeles-based independent arts organization RAW has spread like wildfire and currently produces multi-faceted “circuses of creativity” in 65 cities. In addition to signature showcases, RAW promotes a “plethora” of artists within the first decade of their careers on its website and caps off each season in October with an annual RAWards Show in Hollywood. Third in a series that kicked off in June, “Mixology” unites visual artists Antonio Briones III, Aud Rod, Composure, Sergio Sandoval, Manuel Campos (aka Payaso), Ariel, Kappa Bana, Melissa “Mel” Latimer, Michael Breidenbach (aka Moe Profane), and Erica J., photographers Jenna Stirling, Kevin Velasco, and Kelly Portman, filmmaker Taylor James Johnson, body painter Jason Lozano (aka phatballsjay), makeup artist Bianca Flores, hairstylist Eileen, jewelry designer Katie Holland (creator of Bling is My Thing), burlesque performer Annabella Lugosi, and the bands One Action, Trees, and Accord of Dissonance. $10-$15; 8pm-midnight Thu, Jul 26; Backstage Live, 1305 E Houston, (210) 224-2749, rawartists.org/sanantonio; Check out our full online calendar of upcoming events here calendar.sacurrent.com
