Playhouse Potentials: Dylan by Sidney Michaels

When: Sun., Nov. 20, 6-8:30 p.m. 2016

Alec Guinness starred on Broadway as the intemperate and often vulgar poet, Dylan Thomas. The play begins with his farewell to wife and Wales to tour the US, follows him to colleges, bars, and bedrooms and finally to the ship that bore his body home, dead at 39. "Sensitive, sympathetic and compelling...An absorbing study in human disintegration." - New York Post "So absorbing that it became a personal experience and not just a skillful piece of the theater. One of the beautiful plays of our time." - New York Daily News 'Dylan' will be presented in Reader's Theater format. Playhouse Potentials is meant to engage and broaden the San Antonio community of theater artists (actors, directors, designers, playwrights, and patrons) by introducing newer and lesser-known scripts for a one-night-only reading.
