  • Via San Antonio Symphony

just announced its 2014 Theater Rankings for the U.S. and world, with the Tobin Center coming in 61st out of the top 200 theaters in the U.S. Among theaters worldwide, the Tobin ranked 79th. For international theaters under 2000 seats, the Tobin came in at the impressive 13th spot. A trade publication for the concert industry, Pollstar determined the rankings based on concert and event grosses for the 2014 calendar year.

Since the Tobin Center opened in September, the venue made a booming sales debut, breaking the top 100 with only four months of sales. Notable February gigs at the $203 million performing arts center include comedian Lisa Lampanelli (February 21), saxophonist Branford Marsalis (February 22) and actor Chris Tucker (February 28).
