Check out the San Antonio premier of Potter-Belmar Labs' production San Antonio Casts a Spell tonight at the McNay, with incantations by local art folk Nina Hassle, Mike Casey, David Shelton, Bettie WardChuck Ramirez, Amy Austin, Ben Judson, and many more.  The spells are cast to  rain good stuff on SA. PBL artists Leslie Raymond and Jason Jay Stevens tell us they are: Clean Water,  More Space, Party, Fun Joy!, Health, and Sleep, Deserved & Deep. The spells are part of an hour-long screening of a decade of PBL  shorts, including  Amelita Destruction shows the breakdown of the prevailing order with the collapse of the appliance market. Double Thunder documents PBL's most recent live cinema performancework, I Am Curious (Remix).

A wine reception will be served at 6pm before the screening, part of the Get REEL film series at the McNay.

Free, 6:30pm, Chiego Lecture Hall at the McNay, 6000 North New Braunfels, (210) 824-5368, mcnayart.org
