PRCA Rodeo with John Legend

When: Mon., Feb. 16, 7 p.m. 2015

Critically acclaimed, singer-songwriter John Legend has sold seven million albums worldwide, achieved nine Grammy Awards, three Soul Train Awards, the BET Award for Best New Artist and the Starlight Award from the Songwriters Hall of Fame and now he is traveling to the Countdown City to perform at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo. Make sure you’re listening for songs off of his new album, Love in the Future, such as “All of Me,” “You & I (Nobody in the World),” and “Made to Love.” (Do you know how PRCA rodeo began? Many believe that rodeo started as a little friendly competition between neighboring ranch hands to see who could finish daily tasks as quickly and efficiently as possible. Now, it’s grown into “America’s sport.” From roughstock (bareback, saddle bronc and bull riding) to timed events (steer wrestling, team roping, tie-down roping, and barrel racing), the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) is the oldest and largest rodeo-sanctioning body in the world. The rodeo lasts just over 2 hours. After the last bull is bucked, there is a brief intermission (20 minutes) followed by the entertainment. The concert lasts between 1-1 ½ hours.)
