PRCA Rodeo with Pentatonix

When: Sun., Feb. 15, 1 p.m. 2015

Since winning season 3 of NBC’s The Sing-Off, this instrument-free quintet has created inspiring original tracks, reimagined pop hits and produced draw dropping medleys that are truly unique. Pentatonix will be bringing an “acapella" twist to the rodeo this year with fan favorites like “Somebody That I Used to Know,” “We Are Young,” “Hey Momma/Hit the Road Jack” and “Aha!.” (Do you know how PRCA rodeo began? Many believe that rodeo started as a little friendly competition between neighboring ranch hands to see who could finish daily tasks as quickly and efficiently as possible. Now, it’s grown into “America’s sport.” From roughstock (bareback, saddle bronc and bull riding) to timed events (steer wrestling, team roping, tie-down roping, and barrel racing), the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) is the oldest and largest rodeo-sanctioning body in the world. The rodeo lasts just over 2 hours. After the last bull is bucked, there is a brief intermission (20 minutes) followed by the entertainment. The concert lasts between 1-1 ½ hours.)
