Puddles the Clown Is Bringing His Pity Party to San Antonio

  • Facebook, Puddles Pity Party
The "Sad Clown with the Golden Voice" is coming to San Antonio with his heartfelt anthems and a suitcase full of tissues.

Recognizable from America’s Got Talent and YouTube (you know you can just fall down a rabbit hole watching music videos?), Puddles performs old-timey interpretations of classic pop and rock songs from the likes of ABBA, Bowie, Cheap Trick, Queen and his mash-up of “Pinball Wizard/Folsom Prison Blues.”

And while the whole clown shtick may come off as a little absurd, there’s sort of a brilliant edge to his performances. On top of just being an incredible singer, the whole idea of a sad clown rebirthing these classic songs with a vintage twist invites listeners to hear these songs in a new and refreshing way.

We’re not the only ones to believe it, the sad clown has been pretty busy extensively touring across the U.S. and performing at festivals throughout the globe.

Catch Puddles right in your own backyard on Tuesday, March 19 for a performance at the Charline McCombs Empire Theatre.

Tickets ($35-$45) go on sale this Friday, December 14 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at the Majestic & Empire Theatres Box Office, online at, or charge by phone at (800) 745-3000. VIP tickets will also be available.
