On Thursday, January 21*, The Hangar (8203 Broadway, 210-824-2700) will host its monthly Third Thursday Craft Beer Tasting from 7-9 p.m. The Hangar will highlight beers from Texan breweries and across the U.S.
For $5, guests will get 10 beer samples, light snacks and a raffle ticket.
The event will also allow guests to get their books signed by Jeremy Banas and Travis E. Poling, the authors of San Antonio Beer: Alamo City History by the Pint.
The breweries featured are set to display various styles of beer that reflect their Texas roots. Save The World Brewing Co. from Marble Falls, will bring Lux Mundi and Humilus Filius. Both Guns & Oil Brewing Co. and Uncle Billy's Smokehouse & Brewery from Austin will bring Maverick Lager and Uncle Billy's Pale Ale, respectively. No Label Brewing of Katy, TX will bring 11 Amp. Cedar Creek Brewery will bring Dankosaurus and Blanco's Real Ale Brewing Company will bring Sisyphus.
From outside of Texas come three beers: The Stateside Saison from Maryland's Stillwater Brew, Santa Fe Brewing Company's State Pen Porter, Chocolate Sombrero of Massachusetts' Clown Shoes Brewery.
