Rededication of San Anto Cultural Arts' mural, End Barrio Warfare (video)

A new office location, a re-dedicated mural, and San Anto Cultural Arts is off to a fast start for 2011. The mural “End Barrio Warfare” (detail, left) was first painted in 1998 on Guadalupe Street as a challenge to the youth of the Westside to lay aside their interpersonal and gang-related conflicts. Lead muralist John Montez revised the earlier mural with help from other graffiti artists and called the effort a life-changing one. The mural is located at the intersection of South Brazos and South Laredo streets.
