The head chef of Davila's BBQ will take part in a kitchen takeover at Restaurant Gwendolyn, serving up specialty barbecue on June 29 from 5:30 to 9 p.m.

Chef Adrian Davila will bring barbecue to Victorian-inspired Restaurant Gwendolyn for the first time. Davila is planning a five-course dinner that stays true to Restaurant Gwendolyn's practices of making everything by hand and with locally sourced ingredients. The one-night-only menu will feature items such as a lollipop lamb chop on fire-roasted chimichurri with shaved shishito peppers and lime raspas. Reservations for the $75-per-person feast are required.

Davila is known for his restaurant in Seguin, his soon to be released cookbook and his appearance on Food Network's BBQ Blitz show.

152 E. Pecan St., Suite 100, (210) 222-1849.
