Rick Perry talks Pig Poop with Prank Callers

Last week, former Texas Governor and reality T.V. star Rick Perry was duped into having a 22-minute phone chat with Russian pranksters, where they talked cyber hacking, the Paris Climate Agreement and pig poop.

According to Bloomberg News, Perry (currently the U.S. Secretary of Energy) believed he was speaking with Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, not Vladimir “Vovan” Kuznetsov and Alexei “Lexus” Stolyarov, who call themselves the "Jerky Boys of Russia" (not to be confused with the U.S. duo from the '90s).

During their exchange, the two Jerky Boys told Perry that Ukraine had invented a new type of biofuel, one that combined home-brewed alcohol and pig manure, and asked if Ukraine could get a deal on U.S. coal exports, to which Perry replied "negotiation is always possible."

Energy Department spokeswoman Shaylyn Hynes confirmed that call was indeed a prank, however it's unclear how the two YouTube stars were able to get the guy in charge of America’s nuclear security on the phone.

Perry's only the latest target of the Jerky Boys, who have previously made calls to Senator John McCain and Elton John.
