Chamber ensemble Agarita’s latest entry in its 2021-2022 season is a collaboration with photographer Joel Salcido and writer Oscar Cásares.

Seeking to tell a more genuine story about the Texas-Mexico border, the pair traveled the length of the Rio Grande River together, creating the series “Postcards from the Border,” which appeared in Texas Monthly last year.

For the performance, Agarita has crafted a program to pair with Salcido’s images, which will also be accompanied by narration by Cásares.

Free, 7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, Carver Community Cultural Center, 226 N. Hackberry St., (210) 207-7211, agarita.org.
