When: Sat., Nov. 12, 7-9 p.m. and Sun., Nov. 13, 2:30-4:30 p.m. 2016
The San Antonio Metropolitan Ballet presents a delightful holiday ballet with a touch of comedy and an endearing love story. Set in an enchanted toyshop in mid-nineteenth century France, a toy maker shows his life-sized "mechanical" dolls to various customers. After the dolls have performed, an American family and Russian family are particularly intrigued by the Can-Can Dolls, danced by Chelsea Paige Johnston and Dustin True, soloists with the Los Angeles Ballet. The Can-Can Dolls are wrapped separately -- one for each family -- and upon discovering this tragedy, the other Dolls unwrap and hide the Can-Can Couple.
