Having captured three NBA titles in the last four seasons, the Golden State Warriors return to San Antonio in their familiar perch atop the NBA hierarchy. Stephen Curry and company capped back-to-back championships this summer by signing four-time All-Star DeMarcus Cousins, adding additional heft to their staggering embarrassment of riches.

The Spurs are no strangers to Steve Kerr’s dynasty, falling to the Warriors in the playoffs the past two seasons. After a three-game swing from Sacramento through Los Angeles, San Antonio continues to strive for consistency on the defensive end of the floor. Golden State’s abundance of All-Stars will task the Spurs defense as no other team has this season. Flanked by DeMar DeRozan, expect a breakthrough game from LaMarcus Aldridge against a squad that has haunted him in recent matchups.
