San Antonio Tricentennial New Year’s Eve Celebration and Concert! Ring in the New Year in style, as the city of San Antonio kicks off its yearlong 300th anniversary celebration with an extraordinary New Year’s Eve celebration outdoor free commemorative concert. Visitors and locals are invited to attend the celebration of the century as San Antonio rings in its 300th anniversary year with a free outdoor concert staged in the heart of downtown, on the grounds of another historic moment in San Antonio history, HemisFair '68, the 1968 World’s Fair. Roaming performers, interactive art installations, projections on buildings, imaginative lighting and festive decorations will occupy eight acres of festival grounds and spill into the streets of downtown. Delectable international fare will be offered in food courts outside the event site. Yanaguana Gardens will be fully activated with games, pop-up performances, and children’s food menu items for kids of all ages. The event will be punctuated by a spectacular fireworks show choreographed to music.
