Once upon a time Godzilla was not a campy icon of far-out Japanese culture. He was a scaly, fire-breathing, anti-H-bomb allegory. The original 1954 Godzilla, co-written and directed by Ishiro Honda, will screen at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, at the Bijou at Crossroads Theatre. Movies at the Instituto

Mexican film sensation Dolores del Rio stars in this oft-adapted tale with fellow Epoca de Oro de México idol Pedro Armendaríz. The film screens at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 12, at the Instituto de México, 600 Hemisfair Park. Admission is free.

In the tradition of guerilla filmmaking, The Tour Baby!, a digital-video-cam fanzine, captures the street-level drama, hilarity, and star-fucking atmosphere of the Tour. AMC Theaters is offering a free Summer Movie Camp. Games and entertainment will be provided by counselors, followed by screenings of G- and PG-rated movies.
