Shot of the Week: The Flatliner

(Via Dustin Dooling)

There are many different reasons people decide to do shots. There are celebrations and mourning shots, there are seasonal and locational shots and then there are the shots you take just because you have to experience it. As the author of this blog for some time now, I rarely need any other excuse to have a shot. This week, however, the pulse racing fear of the Flatliner drew me to it. It certainly did not disappoint. Though it was the tequila and Tabasco I originally worried about, it was the Sambuca that really threw me off. The previous two wore off quickly with a beer chaser, but the latter stayed with me through the night. Word to the wise, the Flatliner is not for the faint of heart.

1 ounce tequila

1 ounce Sambuca

Dash of Tabasco

Pour chilled Sambuca into shot glass. Carefully layer the Tabasco and then the silver tequila on top in that order. Serve immediately.
