Singer-songwriter Cory Branan Slated for Sam's Burger Joint Show

Singer-songwriter Cory Branan manages to use cliche songwriting formats and somehow produce amazing collections of music.

Take “Tall Green Grass” for instance (sitting at half a million streams on Spotify). Almost sung like a lullaby with an electric guitar-forward melody, Branan pulls listeners along this journey filled with imagery and sound that can lull you from whatever headspace you’re in. You know, the way good music can.

And maybe that’s why the Mississippi native's music is so attractive. Combining indie rock, with elements of singer-songwriter, folk, and even punk rock, Branan sounds familiar, and at the same time, a fresh unknown artist.

Check him out when he comes to town with Darrell Scott on Saturday, February 9 for a performance at Sam’s Burger Joint.

$20-$120, Sat Feb. 9, 8pm, Sam’s Burger Joint, 330 E. Grayson St.,
