The future is now.
Is the reality of being on a roller coaster not enough for you? Do you need a layer of fiction to supplement your hundred-foot drops and loop-the-loops?

Then Six Flags Fiesta Texas will soon have what you need. The park recently announced its newest ride: The "Superman: Krypton Virtual Reality Coaster," which will combine virtual reality technology from Samsung and Oculus with a traditional theme park ride.

Riders will strap a virtual reality headset on during the ride to immerse themselves in "the 360-degree comic-book world of Metropolis." The coaster will simultaneously plunge riders 168 feet at speeds of 70 miles per hour, all while Lex Luthor's robots buzz around you in virtual reality, trying to take out Superman.

The ride is also rolling out at eight other parks. It will open this spring.
