UTSA’s Terminal 136 is proud to present Smile Because It Happened, an exhibition featuring the works of Stella Ebner and Emily Fleisher. Stella Ebner draws from contemporary American vernacular to create images that transform the everyday happenstance into iconic images. She is concerned with finding the intersection between the perception of the everyday—the mundane, the overlooked, the routine—and the perception of the spiritual. Emily Fleisher plays with ideas of spirituality embedded within the home and daily routine.
