South Texas Galleries Unite for the McNay’s ‘Art to the Power of 10’

As far as museum fundraisers go, the McNay’s Art to the Power of 10 maintains a refreshingly approachable vibe reflected in a casual dress code and comparatively affordable ticket price. In addition to raising funds to support the McNay’s growing collection of contemporary art, the sixth annual cocktail party and sale doubles as a condensed tour of the South Texas art scene by uniting 10 galleries under one roof. While browsing for contemporary works from Houston’s Art Palace, Port Aransas-based Felder Gallery and San Antonio’s own AnArte, Art Incorporated, Cinnabar, Greller Gallery, French & Michigan, Parchman Stremmel, Rubio Gallery-South and Ruiz-Healy Art, guests can savor “creative food and drink” offerings and ramp up their chances of winning one of 10 art door prizes or a Bohannan’s gift certificate. $50 (includes one art door prize ticket and one Bohannan’s door prize ticket), 6:30-9:30pm Fri, Sept. 16, McNay Art Museum, Leeper Auditorium, 6000 N.
